What Fits on a Bar Necklace: 22 Characters, Two Sides, Six Fonts

The Personalized Bar Necklace is a small canvas, so it helps to know the numbers before you start typing.

The space you have

The bar is 30 × 5 mm stainless steel. The engraving area is 28 × 4 mm on each side, and each side holds up to 22 characters, spaces included. That is enough for a first name and a date, a short phrase, or a set of initials with room to spare.

Front, back, or both

$30 includes the front engraving and an optional back engraving. Many people put the name on the front and keep the date or a few private words on the back, where only the wearer knows it is there. Choose “Front & Back” on the product page; the preview shows both layouts together.

Six fonts

Modern (Lato), Classic Small Caps (Alegreya SC), two scripts (Dancing Script and Alex Brush), Old English (UnifrakturMaguntia) and Gothic (Pirata One). The preview updates as you type, so switch between them with your actual wording in place and pick the one that reads best to you.

Five finishes

Gold, Rose Gold, Silver, Black and Rainbow. Gold and Rose Gold are color finishes over stainless steel, not solid precious metal. Engraving contrast varies with the finish, so check the finished examples in the product gallery.

Chain

45 cm with a 5 cm extender, and a ROCO pouch comes with every necklace.
